The "bread and butter" calls.
The Rescue Company consists of a 2003 Ford / Braun Light Rescue and a 1996 Spartan / Saulisbury Rescue Pumper.

2003 Ford light rescue
Rescue 1 is a 2003 Braun body mounted on a Ford F450 4X4 chassis, automatic transmission and 7.3 liter diesel engine. The unit is 1st due for EMS calls.

Although it has an ambulance body, it is not used for patient transport. The rig runs with a crew of four firefighter / EMS personel and operates at a basic life support level. All patient transport is handled by Rural Metro, the paid ambulance service in the area.

Rescue Pumper 2
Rescue Pumper-2 is a 1995 Saulisbury body on a Spartan Gladiator chassis and carries a full line of Amkus hydraulic tools, shoring, Haz-Mat spill material and EMS equipment. It's primary response is to car accidents and fires with an eight person crew consisting of a driver, officer, two man extrication crew, two man hazards crew and two man EMS crew.

RP-2 serves as both a heavy rescue and an engine. It carries 750 gallons of water, 50 gallons of foam, 46 feet of ground ladders, 1300 feet of four inch supply hose as well as a full complement of 1 3/4 & 2 1/2 attack lines.

This unit is used as our second engine and mutual aid piece. When responding as an engine co., it rolls a five man crew.
